The brand's first fragrance, also called Missoni, was launched in 1981 and composed by Maurice Roucel (IFF) with a flacon by designer Pierre Dinand — a floral chypre of aldehydes, raspberry, hyacinth and bergamot over iris, rose and ylang-ylang, resting on oakmoss, patchouli, honey and civet. Long out of production, the original 1981 Missoni parfum has become a rare collector's bottle. The modern line — Missoni (2015) by Quentin Bisch, Missoni Parfum Pour Homme (2017) and Missoni Wave (2020) — is produced under licence by EuroItalia.
