Collection: Crabtree & Evelyn
Crabtree & Evelyn is the American brand that spent forty years pretending to be an English country house. Founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1971 by Cyrus Harvey with designer Peter Windett, it took its name from the seventeenth-century diarist and gardener John Evelyn and the crab-apple tree, printed its soaps with botanical plates from old herbals, and opened a London shop in 1980 because American tourists kept asking where the store was in England. The fragrances - Nantucket Briar (1985), Summer Hill (1988), Sienna (1991), Evelyn Rose (2003) - were discontinued when the chain collapsed in 2019, which is why collector interest has climbed every year since.
Every bottle in this collection is a genuine, discontinued Crabtree & Evelyn fragrance, photographed from stock and verified against the bottle and carton labels. Quantities are single units. See the Crabtree & Evelyn collector's guide for notes, release years and authentication details.
