مجموعة: Corday

Corday is a Paris perfume house founded in 1924 by Blanche Arvoy, the perfumer and cosmeticienne who had already created Jovoy a year earlier. She named the house after Charlotte Corday, and opened at 15 rue de la Paix, a few doors from the great jewellery houses of the Place Vendôme. Corday's early fragrances — Toujours Moi (1924), Jet, Orchidée Bleue (1925), Possession (1939), Fame, Tzigane and L'Ardent Nuit — were bottled by Baccarat, René Lalique, Maurice Depinoix and Julien Viard, and the house became one of the most important Franco-American perfume businesses of the mid-century before it was sold to Max Factor on 1 July 1961.

Original Corday bottles are now collector's objects: the 1952 "Rue de la Paix" lamppost presentation, the Lalique Tzigane flacon, the 1947 RCA Victor album Perfume Set to Music that turned six Corday scents into orchestral miniatures, and the post-war chypres and aldehydic florals that have never been reissued. Every bottle listed here is a genuine vintage piece — discontinued, out of production and sold as pictured.
