Cacharel is a French fashion and fragrance house founded by Jean Bousquet in Nimes and named after the small wild duck of the Camargue. - Ask for the base and box bottom. Genuine bottles carry batch codes; missing or reprinted codes on "sealed" stock are a red flag.
- Judge the juice. Old liquid should stay clear or barely amber — heavy darkening, low fill or a missing cap mean bad storage, not rarity.
